This past weekenfood_drive_parade.jpgd was the 7th Annual Fraser Valley Automall Food Drive. We are so blessed to partner with this amazing group of local businesses every year and this year was no exception. The Fraser Valley Automall rallied, together with Save-On-Foods and our local firefighters, to raise food and cash donations for weeks leading up to the big weekend.

All their efforts resulted in a fantastic amount of food – $35,000 retail value – for donation to the Abbotsford Food Bank. We would like to thank the incredible people at Abbotsford Chrysler, Murray GM - Abbotsford, Sunrise Toyota Abbotsford, MSA Ford Sales, The Honda Way, Abbotsford Hyundai, Abbotsford Nissan, VIP Mazda, Save-On-Foods, Abbotsford Fire Fighters, and Abbotsford Police Department for all your hard work and contributions!

Seeing the caravan of vehicles loaded up with food coming down South Fraser Way was so festive and encouraging. So many smiling and generous people helped make it all possible. Mayor Bruce Banman got in on the fun too, showing his support by leading the caravan & helping to unload the food at our warehouse

This incredible donation of food will help us to meet the growing need we face throughout the year. Each year the Abbotsford Food Bank distributes $2.27 million worth of food to people in need in Abbotsford.

Ramada's Toys for Tots SUCCESS!

Posted on December 4, 2013

Our hearts are full of gratitude for everyone that came out to the 1st Annual, Ramada’s Toys for Tots Christmas Breakfast!  The event was a total success!  An estimated 600 people attended, raising over $16,000 in financial donations and over 900 toys were collected at the event, plus a large amount of canned food.  The success of this event would not have been possible without the investment from our community.  We would like to thank first and foremost, Ramada Plaza and Conference Centre for their desire to create a wonderful event that reached far and wide to help Abbotsford’s children at Christmas.  The conference centre was beautifully decorated, the food was amazing, and your volunteer staff was so friendly and helpful.

Thank you to Envision Financial for your investment in our community through the Full Cupboard program.  Your enthusiastic support and promotion of the event was invaluable and your volunteers were so willing to lend a hand.

We are extremely thankful for having Star 98.3, and their wonderful morning show hosts, live on location at the event.  Your presence created a fun buzz in the air. Together with Country 107.1 you were able to share our excitement with our community.
