About the food bank

Receiving no funding from the government, we operate 100% on donated food, money, supplies & services.

In addition to food distribution, in partnership with Abbotsford Community Services and other amazing people, AFB offers our clients

• free dental care at our on-site clinic,
• kids’ soccer camps, 
• school supplies,
• mentoring, group cooking lessons, financial management workshops,
• special Christmas Hampers,
• and other exciting programs.

Currently we provide emergency food to approximately 3000 people per month, 1200 of whom are children.  In 2012, we gave out an estimated 1.7 million dollars of food, which was only possible because of everyday heroes like you.
