Everyone can make a difference

Think one person can't make a difference? You'd be mistaken. Every day at the Food Bank, and out in the community, people are getting passionate about helping others, gathering food and funds, volunteering a few hours of their time, attending special events and fundraisers, and working together to change the landscape of this city. Every person can help in one way or another – every bit counts, so please help now!

Double Up on Your Grocery Items

Our top needed food items are items you purchase for your family too. How about buying two or three of those items that were on sale and donating them to the Food Bank? See more on Donating Food.

Organize a Food Drive with Family and Friends

If you are interested in hosting a food drive we would love to hear about it and do what we can to support you in your efforts. We have helpful tips from others who have done the same in the pdf below:

Sponsor-a-Family

Get your immediate or extended family to sponsor a family at Christmas time – you can even draw names for the kids and parents in your sponsored family and have fun wrapping the gifts and delivering the food to the family in need at your next Christmas gathering.

Volunteer Your Time

We always need people to help us with general operations, facility upkeep, making and distributing hampers etc.. There are also opportunities to participate during seasonal rushes, participate in special events & sort food at our warehouse. To volunteer call Elise at (604) 859-7681, ext 254

Get informed & Spread the Word

Please forward our website, recommend our Facebook page & attend events that support the Food Bank.
