We appreciate your interest in volunteering at the Abbotsford Food Bank as volunteers are truly the heart of our organization. We believe in the value of time, at the Abbotsford Food Bank, we’ll help you put it to good use. We frequently need volunteers to fill the following roles:

• Food Hamper Assistants: This is a great opportunity for someone looking to volunteer regularly (once a week 2-3 hours). Hamper assistants help put together and distribute food hampers. 
• Greeters: During our busy times it is helpful to have friendly social volunteers that are able to direct people as they arrive at the Food Bank. 
• Food Sorters: Sorting is an important part of inventory and quality control at the Abbotsford Food Bank, yet it is fun and accessible for a wide range of ages and skills. 
• Drivers & Driver's Assistants: Assistance with food and bin pickups especially during our peak times (thanksgiving and Christmas) is always needed. 
• Special Events: Lend us a hand at our special events by, selling tickets, manning a booth, setting up and taking down displays, taking photographs, etc. 
• Mentoring: Another way you can give your time and get connected with your community is to become a REAL mentor
• Christmas Bureau: Christmas is our busiest time of year, lend us a hand with an array of opportunities.
