Free Dental Clinic
We are the Abbotsford FoodBank's Free Dental Clinic. That's right, basic dental coverage is available and FREE for people in our community who cannot afford it and have little or no coverage.
About us
The free clinic was a vision of a local dentist who served overseas and wished to continue this charity at home. Since then, a team of some very dedicated dentists and Hygienists have put in countless volunteer hours to make this vision a reality. The clinic has been up and running since the summer of 2007 in the upstairs portion of the Abbotsford Food Bank. It operates on 100% volunteer hours of dentists, hygienists and certified dental assistants. We have one paid administrator who works one day a week.
What we do
The Abbotsford Free Dental Clinic helps patients with low income and little or no dental coverage. It is serviced by local dentists, Certified Dental Assistants, and Hygienists who volunteer their time and services.
Our Mission
To provide free Dental care for those unable to provide it themselves. We believe charity starts at home, and our hope is to affect the lives of both the patient's and volunteers in a positive way.
Receive Dental Help
To receive free basic dental services you must be in a low income situation with no dental coverage. Clients need to apply in person with the following information (preferably on Mondays):
- Proof of income (2 current pay stubs, proof of EI, etc.)
- Rent or mortgage receipt (showing how much you pay/month)
- Picture ID
- Current Phone/Cable Bill (if applicable)
- Current Hydro/Gas Bill (if applicable)
- Proof of residency in Abbotsford
- Medical Cards for everyone in the family

You can sponsor a patient’s prosthetic, work that the Free Dental Clinic cannot normally afford, but many patients require

If you have an gold crown removed, we can recycle it for money
Supplies
If you have access to professional dental supplies and are interested in donating, please call us for a current list of needed items.
Volunteer
Join the team! You won't regret serving at the FREE clinic for those in need. We need dentists, hygienists, and CDAs in a 4 hour segments. We accept those looking to gain valuable work experience.

Dental offices can carry Free Dental brochures or ask their customers to donate
Give Money
All funds donated help us purchase supplies and dental procedures such as dentures, etc.
