Earlier this year, Meghan Kellington, our Starfish Pack and Media Coordinator, received a plaque from Archway recognizing 5 years (now 6 years) of service! ![]()

Meghan started at our food bank in June 2018. At that time, the Starfish Pack Program was serving less than 200 students. In her time here, the program has expanded exponentially, now serving over 730 students weekly, including an expansion to high schools, and the creation and execution 7 successful seasons of "Summer Starfish", ensuring students have access to nutritious food options all year long. ![]()

Meghan creates the menus, orders the food needed, oversees logistics and volunteers, facilitates the weekly food pick ups, and handles all the communication between schools, businesses, and volunteers. ![]()

Over the past 6 years, she has navigated Starfish through the pandemic and its aftermath and continues to adapt the program through many unexpected changes to accommodate its rapid growth.![]()

Meghan is also the point person for Starfish Pack provincially, running the website for all locations, facilitating provincial meetings, and providing mentorship to new locations joining the program. ![]()

Meghan also coordinates our social media, creating the majority of the graphics and posts you see on this account. She also assists with food bank website changes, supports fundraisers and campaigns, organizes cheque presentations, and much more. ![]()
